Ask yourself the following questions:
How much do you want to make?
How hard do you want to work?
How much time do you want to spend working the Google Adsense program?
The answers to these questions will form the answer to the main question. Factors to consider when attempting to answer these questions are laid out below
The first thing to consider is the number of visits you get every day. Whilst there is no way to estimate precisely on this, you can generally assume that if you have a lot of clicks per day you will be making good money. If your site has several pages this provides you with a greater opportunity for clicks on your adverts even if the pages do not generate much traffic individually.
The number of visits that you get daily will off course be dependant on what your site is about (your niche), if it is about a popular subject you will probably get more traffic than say a specialty niche.
Basically, what this translates to is that if a large proportion of your site’s visitors click the adverts you will be making more revenue. And the best way to do this is to have some popular content on your site, ensuring the links direct users towards popular items as well.
Then of course, there is the position and number of adverts on your website. Note you will have to conform to Google’s policy of having no more than three ad blocks on each page of your site. Whilst you do not want to exaggerate it, having many links will undoubtedly generate more income for you as a webmaster. Do not however think, that if you just add several adverts in an important position of your site this will generate clicks, visitors might always just skip them and quite frequently do.
There is something between an art and a science to positioning your ads. People generally look in certain places and never look in others, and recognising this a website author and/or webmaster can do a good deal of things to increase their earnings with AdSense.
On the whole, the amount of money you make with AdSense depends upon many factors. But if you have a site with interesting contents and/or many pages, and if you see a constantly large amount of traffic every day, you can bet you will be able to make a lot of money with AdSense.
As with any other business, with the Google Adsense program, the sky is the limit. Work hard. Work smart. Have fun. After all, you are the boss.
