Originally, e-mail was the one way that viral marketing began. Since that day long ago, viral marketing has moved from a marketing strategy to an art form and there are numerous ways to accomplish the objective of producing a successful viral marketing campaign.

Below are listed seven of those ways:

E-mail: It was first but it is still around and still used. It is, nonetheless, getting a bit harder to use as increasingly government restrictions (spam) are placed on it. However it does work.

Newsletters: This is an extension of e-mail but it a very effective tool. If you include enough timely and useful information, a good newsletter can push up the number of visits to your website.

Blogging: Supplying the tools on your website to enable bloggers to interact with each other is a fantastic way to get the message about your product or service out there and being talked about. Bloggers have their ears to the ground for fresh products and services.

Chat Rooms: A chat room on your website can and does promote interaction amongst your customers and that can’t be a bad thing. Also, you are able to use the chat room to schedule special events like having an expert available to answer questions on a given day at a given time.

Tell-a-friend Script: If you add this with a statement saying that e-mail addresses supplied will never be shared with third parties, you are able to increase your potential customer list greatly

Video Clips: Including cool video clips on your website will keep the interest up and increase traffic.

Flash Games: Whilst they are a little costly to start, they are an highly effective tool to get your viral marketing campaign going. Once they are established, they require nothing more from you.

As usual if the information provided is of some use please feel free to comment on this post or any others for that matter.

Videoblogging is the next generation of posting ideas and products over the internet. Everybody knows about textblogging. Now they use videos for a better way of expression. This form of communication may entail a lot of resources, but it is all worth it. If pictures paint a thousand words, videoblogging exceeds that by far.

A videoblog requires larger disk spaces on websites, a faster server, and a whole new set of programs to support it. Videoblogs can be fed through RSS. This is the technology of syndicating your website to other RSS aggregators.

Videoblogging works with people on the internet expressing themselves. Now if you consider this from a business prospective, there are a lot of benefits. Think of it as a powerful tool in showing your prospective customers your line of products or your services. If you videoblog through RSS feeds, then most probably you are reaching your target market.

People like to see what they are going to buy. Some would like to see proof and be sure that they are getting their money’s worth before spending their hard earned cash. All of us recognise the influence of a thirty second commercial. The effect of videoblogging is similar to that. You show your product, people watch it. If they like it, they buy it. If you present it well enough, they’ll buy the product even if they don’t need it.

If your business is just starting up, you can create a videoblog at home. All you need is your web camera, microphone, video software, and lights. As long as you know how to use your camera, then you can create a videoblog.

Invest in a good web camera. The higher its resolution the better the output. Make up a short story, or just capture your goods in one go. Just make certain that you are getting the best profile for each. Get those creativity juices flowing.

Lights are important in a production. Make sure you illuminate the area you are going to use to create videoblog entirely. The brighter the area, the crispier the images will be. You can also use lighting effects for added appeal to the presentation.

Should you require sounds for your videoblog, you need a microphone. Record you voice as a voice over for promoting the product and its benefit to consumers. Sound is as important as a video on a videoblog. It is advisable to make your sound effects as enticing as the video.

Your video editing software can be any suitable program. You need this to finalize your work. You can add sounds, delete some bad angles, or insert some still pictures in there too. Some programs are user-friendly and can be used even with zero knowledge on video editing. Even simple video editing programs should do the trick. Select your background carefully too. The light affects the presentation so make sure that the background and the light complements each other.

Videoblogging is a great tool but it also has it downside. It may slow down the recieving computer so people may steer clear of it. Download time might also be time consuming especially if customer is still on a dial-up connection or slow speed broadband.

But don’t let those stop you. Let videoblogging be an alternative for you, though it is best to still keep the text and pictures present in your presentation to accommodate all possible viewers of your site.

Nowadays, the more creative you are in presenting your product to the market, they more you are likely to succeed. Videoblogging offers an interactive way of selling. You involve the customers. You instill in them the advantage of your goods. At times, those are enough to make a sale.

These days, it is hard to find anyone, of any age, who does not blog. Even people with a business have taken to blogging, from small ones to large corporations. The popularity and simplicity of blogging makes it popular with everyone.

Using blogs to help with your sales is easy and recommended. It is simple to create your own blog on which to post your articles. You can find a webhosting company that includes a blog in its webhosting package, or you can choose a popular blog site like Blogger at www.blogger.com .

The most important thing is to make your blog viral. Do this by creating an RSS feed and allowing readers to copy your blog to their own.

All you need to do is set up your blog and start posting your articles into categories of your own choosing. Using pinging features will allow blog directories to be kept updated whenever you add a new post to your blog. You can also sign up at pingomatic.com to have your blog pinged with many different services all at once. This will help bring traffic to your blog.

Another way to make blogs helpful in your article marketing is to seek out blogs that relate to your field of interest. Upon finding a subject that relates to your article, add a comment and a link to the article asking other readers of the blog to visit your blog and read the article.

Posting the actual article on someone else’s blog is rude and not accepted. A simple link to an article that directly relates to the topic in question is perfectly acceptable.

Keeping a blog up to date is one of the most important aspects of blogging. This is so important because regular blog visitors expect new postings on a regular basis. Not all visitors expect to see a new post as often as once a day but most blog readers expect the content on the blog to be updated on a regular basis. In most cases visitors expect new content on at least a weekly basis.

However, depending on the subject matter the visitors may expect updates on a basis which is either more frequent. Similarly visitors may not be interested in receiving this type of information more than a few times a year. Blog owners should be aware of the frequency of which readers expect new posts and should make an effort to oblige the readers with updates this often. This article will discuss methods for keeping a blog up to date including scheduling a regular time to post blogs, using publishing tools wisely and hiring guest bloggers when necessary.

Finding Time to Post Daily

One way to help to ensure a blog remains up to date is to schedule time to post blogs on a daily basis. This is especially important when blog readers expect new posts on a daily basis or at least several times per week. Bloggers who allot a specific block of time each day to researching, writing and publishing blogs are more likely to have a blog which is up to date than bloggers who plan on accomplishing tasks when they find time to do so. There may still be days in which the blogger is unable to publish a new post on the blog but these days will be less frequent than if the blogger does not have a block of time strictly dedicated to keeping the blog up to date.

On days in which the blog is unable to devote time to blogging, the blogger may wish to at least publish a short message explaining why it was not possible to post a new blog entry. This will let readers know you are aware of their desire to read more information but are simply unable to publish a new blog post. As long as this does not become a regular occurrence, blog visitors are not likely to stop viewing a blog simply because the blogger skips a day or two.

Taking Advantage of Publishing Tools

Some blog publishing tools enable bloggers to write blog posts ahead of time and specify when each post should be published. This is an excellent feature for bloggers who want to publish new posts daily but are unable to dedicate time each day to writing blog posts. This way the blogger can dedicate a block of time each week to write blog posts and have the posts published throughout the week. This is often an easier method for many bloggers because they are able to be more efficient this way.

Hiring Guest Bloggers

Bloggers may also want to consider hiring guest bloggers to assist them in keeping a blog up to date. This can be a worthwhile method for bloggers who are not only having difficulty keeping their blog up to date but are also interested in providing readers with a little variety. However, blog owners who opt for this message of keeping their blog up to date should carefully consider how the dedicated blog readers will react to this change. This is important because some readers may not be interested in reading blogs written by a guest blogger. Therefore the use of a guest blogger can actually be more detrimental to the blog than not updating the blog regularly. Bloggers can gauge reader reaction to the use of guest bloggers in a couple of different ways. The simplest and most straight forward method is to poll the readers about the use of guest bloggers. This can be done by asking readers to comment on the issue and tabulating the comments received. Another method to gauge reader reaction is to introduce a guest blogger and compare the traffic the guest blogger receives to the traffic the blog owner receives.

Lots of people have a blog and quite a few are making money from their blogs. In order to understand how these people are achieving this you should ask yourself the following questions.

How are they doing it?
What is so special about a blog that you can make money by posting on it?

First you need to undestand that a blog is a little bit like an online journal. You can make posts on it about anything that you want to, and then publish it for the whole world to read. If you have never blogged before, it is a good idea to do so just for fun in the beginning, so that you can get a feel of what it is about.

Once you have become familiar with the blogging platform, and kind of get the gist of what blogging is about, you will be ready to try and make some money at blogging. However, for a beginner you will want to take it slow, one step at a time. You will need to do things in order so that you will not get overwhelmed by it all.

The first thing that you need to do is find a niche to blog about. This can be anything that you know, want to know, or want to learn about. The more you know, the better. The niche can be anything that you want it to be. It can be as complicated or as simple as you want it to be. Think of something that you know and love, something that you want to learn all about. You will come up with a niche that will be perfect before you know it.

Now that you know what your blog will be all about, you are ready to get down to business. Firstly you want to determine how frequently you will update your blog. Will it be daily? Every other day? Maybe even weekly? Whichever you choose, stick with it and make sure that you scarcely miss an update. Once you get readers to your blog you want them to know that you will update it as often as you say. They need to know how often to check and visit your blog for new information. If you post like you say you will, you will end up with a large reader base that will follow you anywhere.

So now that you have a niche, and have decided how often your blog will be updated, it is time to get down to some marketing. To begin with, you need to get back links. Back links are important and they mean that someone is linking to you. There are a number of ways that you can get these much needed links. You can look around on the internet and find some sites that are relevant to your niche and request a link, or your can post comments on other blogs that are relevant and leave a link behind with your comment. Either way, they both work and they both count as links that you need to your blog.

Are you attempting to sell things from your blog? If so you are going to find that promoting products on your blog is a great marketing technique that you can use as well. People do it everyday and make lots of money from it. Whether it is affiliate links, or your own products and services that you are promoting, you are going to find that blog marketing is one of the best ways to get the word out and let people know that you are in business. Marketing from your blog has never been easier.

With all of the great tools that are out there now for blog marketing, it is really hard to have a blog fail when you employ them. Make certain that you ping your blog every time it is updated, and work on those links as they will make a huge difference.

Blogs which are also known as weblogs are among the more recent innovations on the internet. They are basically a platform that allows you to post your thoughts on almost any subject that you wish to. They can be used for writing, publishing and promoting anything that your heart desires. However, if you are a beginner and new to blogging as well as marketing, there are a few very important things that you should know.

Blog marketing is reasonably easy if you have a marketing mind. You will no doubt find that some people use their blogs as a diary or online journal, and when someone does use their blog for this purpose it is not their intention to make money, but it is simply a way to put their thoughts out there and discover others that are going through the same thing. If you have never had a blog before, the simplest way to get started is probably to just start one as diary or online journal. This will allow you to learn just what it takes to keep a blog going. When you are just posting your thoughts and what is on your mind, you have nothing to lose and nothing to gain. You do not even have to make your blog public if you do not want others to read what you have to say. That of course is a personal preference. However, by making it public will let you see how a blog really works. Then you will be able to progress on to trying to market a product or a service.

Employing a blog to market something is cheaper than using a website. This is because there are so many free platforms out there, such as Blogger.com or WordPress.com, that you can utilise to get the word out, and they are really just as good as having a website that you pay for. There are of course a few advantages to having your own URL, but for a beginner, a free one will work until you master it and want to move it all over onto your own server. A small problem with some free blogs are that they are not that customisable, but this is getting better. If you are not familiar with HTML, you are going to find that your blog will look like everybody else’s. But, this is fine in the beginning. You will be able to always make changes later on once you are have started to become successful.

When you have your own blog, you are in charge of the content that is posted on it. You can decide what is said, and what is not. You are after all writing it all, right? So, the sky is the limit. Whether you want a blog that does website reviews and takes nominations, or you want to sell things that you make out of your home, the choice is yours. Employing a blog to get the word out about whatever you want too is a great way to market and promote something.

Blog marketing can get complicated if you let it. It is actually only as hard as you make it. Whilst there are a few bloggers out there that are making a six figure income with the use of blog marketing, we all know that it can be done. We just want to know how. Well, for any beginner, start small, and be consistent. The six figure bloggers all did. They started with one, built it up, and then added another blog, built it up. Then, keeping up both blogs and not letting them fall behind, they continued to add more and more content. Of course they had help, and they outsourced a lot of their work. If you are looking to make a massive income with blogging, you will need some help.

Blog marketing is a great thing to learn. If you are able to sell things from a blog, you will be able to sell them almost anywhere. Making money by using a blog is one of the most satisfying things that you will ever learn how to do. Just do not expect to make money over night, know that you have to work at it consistently everyday, and remember to put into it what you want to get out of it.

If you want to make money through blogging, creating a popular blog is the key to success. If your blog receives very little traffic, you will not have much success monetising it. No matter which method you use to make money from your blog, you will find the most success if you have a large readership. Because of this, making your blog popular and growing readership should be one of your primary concerns.

There are many ways to make your blog more popular. The first thing you should consider is who your audience is and who you are writing for. You should always write about something that interests you, and that will interest others. You may think that your new kitten is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but there are probably not very many other people who want to read a blog about it. It is best to find a niche audience that is large enough to support a wide readership but not to vague.

One of the great things about blogging is that you do not have to be a professional writer to have a popular blog. You do have to obey common grammatical rules and at least be able to put together coherent sentences, but you do not have to be a highly skilled writer.

Blog readers are looking for interesting, relevant topics to read, not the next work of Shakespeare. Make sure what you write is interesting, edgy, or even controversial. Popular blogs are never boring and add value to reader’s lives either through information or entertainment. Make sure your blog adds something of value to your reader’s life otherwise you will not develop a large fan base.

Making your blog popular is a lot like driving traffic to a website. You can use many of the same techniques to drive traffic to your blog. Finding places to link back to your blog is a good way to drive traffic. Social sites such as Myspace, Facebook, and Youtube provide lots of opportunities for this. You can also use social book marking sites such as Reddit, StumbleUpon, and Digg to promote your blog. Blogging on a popular blog site such as WordPress and Blogger are also good ways to make your blog more popular as these blogging sites help to bring in traffic for your blog.

Whether you blog on a blogging network or you have an independently hosted blog, you need to make sure your blog is designed well. It is true that content is king and if a blog has great content is may receive lots of traffic even though it is ugly, having a well designed blog that is not ugly or annoying will help to drive repeat traffic. You want your blog to look unique, but not too unique. Keep with internet formalities such as blue links and use large font for headings.

You should break your post up into small paragraphs each with a headline if possible as internet readers tend to scan the screen looking for relevant information rather than reading everything word for word. Make sure your colors do not contrast too harshly and that the text is easy to read. Using good design will make your blog aesthetically pleasing and make readers more likely to come back and remain on your page.

No matter where your blog is hosted, you should try to get it indexed by all the major search engines. Some forms of blog monetisation require that your blog be indexed by search engines before they will allow you to participate in your program. The higher ranked your blog is, the more visitors you will receive and the more popular your blog will become.

All forms of monetisation for your blog require readers to work successfully. Before you try to implement your monetisation strategies, make sure your blog has enough readers to make your efforts work. If there is no one to click your ads, visit your affiliate sites, or read your reviews, you do not stand much of a chance of making money.

Following on from yesterdays article here are a further two methods for creating content.

Creating An Online Magazine

The advantage of an online magazine is that it puts some distance between the site’s owner and the reader. The articles do not have to reflect the site owner’s personal opinion and they can cover a wide range of subjects. And no one will expect the publisher of a magazine to write all the articles themself.

Create an online magazine and you can take a big step away from being a writer and towards becoming a real publisher. It used to be the case that the biggest obstacle to creating a professional-looking online magazine was the work and the expense. In addition to creating the content, a magazine also needs to be designed and planned. That can mean either taking a lot of time and effort yourself, or hiring a designer to do it for you.

Teleseminars & audio

Using audio recordings is one of the best ways to create content if you like to talk but hate to write.

There are many ways to use audio content. One of the most common sources of creating audio content is to do a teleseminar. A teleseminar is basically just a fancy word for “conference call”, in which information is shared to a group via telephone. Often teleseminars involve one person interviewing another. Other times, the phone lines are opened up for live questions to be asked by listeners during the session.

If you do not know what to talk about, a great technique is to contact an established marketer and offer to interview them about their product. In return they will get free publicity for their product, or you can send your listeners to your affiliate link for the interviewee’s product.

Podcasts and audio blogging are also becoming increasingly popular. Again if you don’t have anything to talk about, there are plenty of places where you can find people who will talk. Interviewing a professor at a local college or university is a great source of content. Or you could interview your local expert ______ (fill in the blank with any profession).

If you are using AdSense on your site, its important to transcribe your audio content into written format and post it on your site. This is because AdSense is contextually based, and it will pick up the topic and key phrased from the text of the transcript. A 30 minute interview could be broken up into several sections and used to fill a dozen web pages with content. Of course you can post the audio file too, and give your visitors the option of downloading it or reading the transcript.

Professional blogging is a relatively new idea with a lot of potential for entrepreneurs who have the insight, drive, and a basic understanding of today’s innovative web technology. The ranks of so-called pro bloggers are still quite small, and there are a few people who make a living entirely from their blogs. However, every day there are increasingly more people who have managed to turn their blogs into cash cows that supplement their income. The number of pro bloggers is growing by leaps and bounds, but it is hard to say whether this trend will continue.

Numerous bloggers dream of entering the sphere of professional blogging. There are very few people who happily devote an hour or more each day to their blog without at least from time to time wishing that they could earn some kind of financial reward for all of their work. Several models exist for making money with a blog, the most popular being to sell advertising space through Google’s AdSense program or directly to a company that wishes to reach the demographic that your blog appeals to. However, there are very few people indeed who can make a comfortable living just by selling space on their blog sidebars.

Several people who read blogs are bloggers themselves, in part because of the fact that the people who use blogging technology on a daily basis are most likely to be interested in what other writers are doing with the medium. This fact begins to explain why the people who succeed in the world of professional blogging are mostly people who have devoted themselves almost entirely to learning about, talking about, and writing about blogging. More than any other topic, pro bloggers turn their attention to the phenomenon of blogging itself. A lot of pro bloggers make the topic of blogging the stunningly self-reflexive ongoing focus of their blogs.

Of course, professional blogging is destined to become much more complicated in the future than it is today. In the current moment, pro bloggers who attract the largest audiences and make the most money are mostly concerned with investigating the blogging movement and with offering advice to amateur bloggers. However, as the kinds of people who regularly read blogs changes, and the demographics of bloggers expand and diversify as blogging software becomes more user friendly, it is very likely indeed that the world of pro blogging will begin to reflect these changes. Indeed, it is very difficult to predict exactly what kinds of blogs will be reaping the greatest financial rewards five or ten years down the road. The world of pro blogging is one of constant change and flux, which is part of what makes it so exciting.

Because there are so many blogs and websites about blogs on the internet, it can be tough to differentiate your blogging website from all of the others.
