It is important that keywords not over used, but should be just sufficient enough to appear at important places.

It is almost certain that if you repeat your keywords with every other word on every line, then your site will be rejected as an artificial site or spam site.

Keyword density is always expressed as a percentage of the total word content on a given web page

Suppose you have 100 words on your webpage (not including HMTL code used for writing the web page), and you use a certain keyword for five times in the content. The keyword density on that page is got by simply dividing the total number of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page. So here it is 5 divided by 100 = .05. Because keyword density is a percentage of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that is 0.05 x 100 = 5%

The accepted standard for a keyword density is between 3% and 5%, to get recognized by the search engines and you should never exceed it.

Remember, that this rule applies to every page on your site. It also app

lies to not just to one keyword but also a set of keywords that relate to a different product or service. The keyword density should always be between 3% and 5%.

Simple steps to check the density:

Copy and paste the content from an individual web page into a word-processing software program like Word or Word Perfect.

Go to the “Edit” menu and click “Select All”. Now go to the “Tools” menu and select “Word Count”. Write down the total number of words in the page.

Now select the “Find” function on the “Edit” menu. Go to the “Replace” tab and type in the keyword you want to find. “Replace” that word with the same word, so you don’t change the text.

When you complete the replace function, the system will provide a count of the words you replaced. That gives the number of times you have used the keyword in that page.

Using the total word count for the page and the total number of keywords you can now calculate the keyword density.

The correct placement and density of keywords within the pages of your website will almost certainly increase your websites visibility within the search engines thus generating more traffic. This is probably one of the easiest Search Engine Optimisation techniques available and is one that I highly recommend to everyone.

We all know that content is the key to unlocking Internet marketing success. In previous articles I have dealt with the use of article directories and the importance of placing relevant keyword rich content on your site. Is there an advantage to using exclusive content rather than article directories?

We have seen the impact that sharing your articles freely can have by driving visitors to your site, through the resource box, and hyperlinked bylines, but what about using other people’s articles freely on your site? Is there an advantage to creating your own exclusive content and placing it only on your site?

Basically, the choice is yours. It may also depend upon the level of writing you believe that you have achieved. If you are an accomplished writer and feel comfortable placing your own exclusive content on your site, yes, this will definitely enhance the fact that you are an expert on you preferred subject. If you don’t feel accomplished as a writer, you may opt to purchase content articles for your website that you hold all copyrights to. Then you will have exclusive content articles that although not written by you, will only appear on your website. This may be a great method of showing your wisdom, proving your expertise, and providing content articles, however you will have to purchase the content from the writer. Therefore your decision may also be based upon your budget. If you are a large company and have the budget, you may very well prefer to purchase exclusive content articles that pertain only to your company, yet have a keyword density that will also improve your Search Engine Optimisation and page ranking.

For a small company that does not have a large budget, or writing capabilities, they may find that article directories are the perfect solution for their internet marketing needs. Although, if they haven’t written the articles, they won’t benefit from bylines, and must include the bylines of the original author, they will benefit from the fact that they have legitimate, good content on their site that was well within their budgets. Either way, the important aspect is to find great relevant content, and keep it on your site.

But there is always another alterative and that is private label articles. With these articles you get the rights to be able to modify the articles in any way you think is best. You can even put yourself as the author and include your own resource box. That’s the power of private label articles.

Whether you prefer exclusive content, tap into article directories or private label content, your site must have keyword rich content articles to bring traffic. With the application of these Internet Marketing Strategies, you will be amazed as you watch your new business prosper and succeed. Remember, the key to unlocking the wealth of resources available for your business is found in the proper use and utilisation of content articles.

Aggressive internet marketing means full-blown marketing and promotions that exceed any businessman’s expectations. A business needs fierce internet marketing. No more, no less. But to make it low cost? Is that even possible? How can something so aggressive be affordable?

Luckily, you can avail yourself of inexpensive aggressive internet marketing if you just look in the right places. Be keen and alert and know what’s going on in the online industry. The following questions will help you decide if your chosen internet site to do the marketing fits the bill.

1. Does the company offer free website design?

Even if you know your HTML, it is still more advisable if a professional team does it for you. Some internet marketing sites offer free web design to make sure that your site’s needs are met. It’s a must that marketing is integrated to the web design. If the company requires you to pay more than fifty bucks for the web design, then so much for straight-forward internet marketing! Look somewhere else!

2. How many keywords does your web site cater to?

Having too many keywords or key phrases to focus on will make your page ranking drop. Creating smaller web pages with content that emphasizes only a few keywords will serve Internet marketing endeavor better.

3. How search engine-compatible is your website?

Internet marketing is coined “aggressive” only if it is a hundred percent search engine-compatible. There are about 10 major search engines online and your site has to work accordingly with them. Find out if your internet marketing site is expert on search engine optimisation.

4. Do you know your competitors?

Affordable aggressive internet marketing pushes your business forward by taking note of your competitors. Analysis and evaluation of the competition is mandatory to figure out your shortcomings and advantages over them. If this feature is excluded from your internet marketing plan, you’re getting a mediocre deal.

5. How efficient is the monthly marketing plan?

Usually, you’re asked to pay a monthly fee for the marketing plan. For a marketing plan to be efficient, it must zero in on the following things: webpage development, link exchanges, web content, updates and technical support. Of course, also included are the standard SEO, competition analysis and keyword density.

If you’ve procured the right answers for the previous questions, then you can finally say: “Now that’s low cost aggressive internet marketing.”
Search engine optimisation (SEO) should be regarded as a critical element of any Internet marketing strategy. This is important because there is so much which can be earned from SEO in terms of Internet marketing and advertising. Failure to optimise your website for search engines could result in a considerable loss in terms of free advertising which is fundamentally gained from ranking well with search engines.

SEO is a strategy in which a website is configured to receive favourable search engine rankings from popular search engines. This could be achieved in a variety of different ways and optimal SEO strategies combine an assortment of different strategies to complete one well organised SEO campaign. There are several elements to consider when attempting to optimise your website for search engines. This may include keyword density, prominence, META tags, titles and inbound links. Keyword density is among the most common SEO strategies and essentially involves using relevant keywords often in the content of a website to demonstrate the relevance of these keywords to the website. This is important because search engines are likely to reward websites with optimal keyword densities with favourable search engine rankings in an attempt to furnish Internet users with the most relevant websites for particular search terms.

The prominence of keywords should also be considered. This includes how close the keywords are placed to the start of the website. The common mistake with this strategy is to think the first opportunity to incorporate keywords is in the first line of visible text on the webpage. This is not true because search engines crawl the code of a website not just the visible content on the website. This means there are multiple opportunities to incorporate relevant keywords long before the actual visible content on the website. This might include the code for the title as well as the META tags. Business owners who realise the potential for incorporating keyword into the code will gain an advantage over competitors who only incorporate keywords into the content on their website.

Another area of concern which is very important for those who are interested in SEO is inbound links. Inbound links are essentially links which reside on other websites and direct traffic to your website. These links are regarded as important because many search engines place a value on inbound links since they are essentially an example of one website recommending another website. Nevertheless, when obtaining inbound links it is crucial to do so from other websites which rank well with search engines since search engines consider the rank of the original website when deciding the value of the inbound link.

Now that I have briefly explained some of the main concept of SEO, I will illustrate why it is important to optimise your website in the first place. SEO is so important because most Internet users value highly the results of search engines and are likely to only visit to ranking websites when they search for a particular keyword. Internet users trust search engines to serve up the most relevant content first and are therefore not likely to visit websites which do not fall on the first or second page of search results. This means websites which rank well essentially are picking up a good deal of free advertising from search engines that place their website in a key position. Website owners who do not invest time into optimising their websites miss out on a good deal of potential web traffic.

Bloggers who are interested in attaining lots of traffic to their blog and maintaining a successful blog should pay particular attention to search engine optimisation techniques which can help to improve the search engine rankings of their blogs. All search engines employ some type of ranking algorithm which is used to ascertain the order in which websites are returned when an Internet user searches for information on a particular topic. However, not all search engines use the same algorithm for this purpose. As a consequence of this there is no simple solution to optimising a blog for high rankings on all search engines. There are a few tips though which can be useful with most search engines as mentioned below.

The Importance of Keywords

The use of relevant keywords in blog posts is among the most common and also one of the simplest ways to optimise for search engine rankings. However, not all bloggers agree on the best ways to use relevant keywords. Some bloggers believe keywords must be employed often to create high keyword densities while others believe using keywords at lower densities of 1% – 3% and paying attention to keyword placement is the most worthwhile strategy. Still other bloggers argue that simply using relevant keywords as they come naturally in the flow of the blog posts is sufficient to ensure search engines understand the content of the blog.

Irrespective of the keyword strategy a blogger opts to employ all bloggers can benefit from researching relevant keywords. They might have a blog which pertains to a general subject such as gardening but may not be aware of the search terms commonly used by Internet users when researching this subject. Fortunately there are numerous programs available which generate related keywords for a particular topic which furnishes the blogger with additional keywords they should consider incorporating into the blog.

Generating Favorable Back Links

Back links are also another common factor employed in search engine ranking algorithms. Many search engines consider the number of back links pointing to a website as well as the quality of the websites which provide these back links. This means the search engine rankings of the website which points to your blog could influence the amount of weight the back link contributes to your own rankings. This is because some search engines consider higher ranking websites to be more valuable than other websites which do not rank well and consequently reward websites receiving back links from these high ranking websites quite favourably.

Some search engine algorithms also consider whether or not the back links are reciprocated or not reciprocated. In these cases non reciprocal links are usually considered to be more valuable than reciprocal links. Also, back links which come from link exchanges or link farms are generally not considered to be very influential to search engine rankings.

How Images Can Improve Search Engine Rankings

Bloggers should also be aware that any images used on their blog can be utilised to improve search engine rankings with some search engines. This aspect of search engine optimisation is often neglected because many bloggers believe the pictures are not viewed by search engines. Whilst this is true the search engines do crawl the code of the blog in addition to the content on the blog. This means the search engine will view the information furnished in the image tags. Bloggers can take advantage of this by using the image tags to provide relevant keywords which can bolster search engine rankings. However, care should be taken to ensure the keywords employed in these tags also accurately describe the image because blog visitors will often see the text included in these tags when they scroll over a picture on the blog.
Choose the articles for your niche sites very carefully to ensure that you are capable of successfully gaining traffic and attaining profit from these sites.

If you are going to try and utilise free website content articles, then it might be difficult for you to discover ones that have your exact keywords, so you may have to either make revisions to the articles (which may not be allowed on some free articles) or base your keywords on the articles that you find (which could leave you with very competitive keywords that would take a lot of time or money in order to attain a high ranking for).

If you are going to buy content, make certain that you let the writer know what your niche keywords are and what your preferred keyword density and placement are. Remember, the wrong articles can leave you with little or no traffic and very low search engine rankings if they do not fit in properly with either your niche or with keywords that are easy to achieve high rankings for.
Keyword density and placement are important parts of optimising your articles for search engines. Search engine spiders scan a page in a way that makes it important to place your keywords where they will be detected and recognised as a keyword, so that your article will come up when someone searches for that keyword.

What is a Keyword?

A keyword is a word that is placed in your article several times, not just once. When a search engine spider discovers that you have a word placed several times in an article, it will determine that your page might be useful to other users that search for such a keyword.

Over Optimising Your Articles

It is important to note that there is also such a thing as over optimising your articles for particular words, this is known as “keyword stuffing”. When you stuff keywords in an article a spider will notice that you are attempting to trick it into placing your article high in the search engine results for that word, and will instead penalise your site and your page for doing such. This might even affect the rankings of your other pages or get your site blacklisted from a particular search engine if you are found to be keyword stuffing too many times.

What is Keyword Density?

Keyword density is how many times your keyword is placed in your article. Most use a percentage to determine how many times they will put a keyword in an article. For example, if you have a 500 word article and would like to achieve a keyword density of 5%, then you will want to have the keyword in your article exactly 25 times. You can find hundreds of resources and guides advocating one keyword density over another and the reasons behind the logic, however, ultimately you will have to determine which density is more profitable for your articles. Every webmaster has their own keyword density strategy that they like to attain based upon past results. As long as you do not over optimise and you are likely to make sufficient profit from your rankings, then you will be able to select whatever keyword density you like.

The Right Density

No matter what density you select, it is important to place keywords so that there are more at the beginning and end to produce an hour glass effect. Having the right keyword density in your article makes it more likely that you will earn income off of that article because it will rise in the search engine results and be seen by more people.

If you are already running an Internet marketing campaign or are about to commence an Internet marketing campaign, one concept you cannot afford to skimp on is search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is one of the most popular buzz words in Internet marketing but regrettably many Internet marketers simply do not know enough about SEO to make this strategy work for them. Even those who are knowledgeable about SEO may have difficulty fulfilling their SEO strategies to create the desired outcome.

Advertising is a very significant part of running any type of business. You need to advertise to reach new customers and market your products or services. Whether you run your business online or not you in all likelihood already recognise how important it is to advertise but if you are running your business online you should understand there is a good deal of free advertising available in the form of optimal search engine rankings.

Well known search engines such as Google rank websites according to complex algorithms which are configured to ascertain which websites are most relevant for particular search terms. Consequently taking the time and effort to optimise your website for relevant search terms may result in you being rewarded with high search engine rankings for these terms. This is important because most Internet users rely heavily on these rankings. It is not uncommon for Internet users to merely review the first few results when they search for a particular term. This means if your website ranks high enough to appear on the first page of the search results you will likely enjoy increased website traffic. However, if your website does not make it on to the first or even the second page of results, the traffic that you will get is likely to be significantly less than that achieved by those on the first results page.

Now that you understand why search engine rankings are so significant you might wonder how to achieve these rankings. The easiest way to optimise your website is to hire a SEO specialist to do the work for you. The world of SEO is complex and continually developing making it difficult for most business owners who do not specialise in SEO to keep up with all the changes in the industry. Consequently, business owners who attempt to optimise their website by themselves may have difficulty keeping up with competitors who employ an SEO consultant to optimise their website for them.

The algorithms used by search engines can be rather complex and include a number of different factors. A few of the most common factors in the equation include keyword density, META tags, titles, inbound links, website traffic and content.

Keyword density relates to the number of times a particular keyword is used in the content of your website. The theory behind this concept is that website which employ a keyword often, is a website extremely relevant to that keyword. However, overutilisation of that keyword may result in penalties to the website if the search engine deems that the keywords are not being employed appropriately.

META tags are pieces of HTML code which some search engines use in evaluating the content of a website. Placing keywords in these tags can be beneficial in some search engines. However, care should be taken to avoid placing irrelevant keywords in these tags as this might result in your website being punished.

Inbound links are also employed by a few search engines to rank websites. Inbound links refer to links on other websites which point to your website. In evaluating the value of these inbound links, some search engines consider the rank of the website providing the link to your website. This means you should ensure the website supplying inbound links to your website are high ranking websites to obtain the most benefit from these links.

Finally, the content on your website can do a good deal to bolster your search engine rankings. Most SEO firms retain a staff of writers who are skilled at providing quality content which is also optimised for relevant keywords. If you hire a SEO firm who does not providing copywriting services you should invest in hiring a professional writer yourself. This will help to ensure the copy on your website is not only of value to your visitors but likewise considered valuable to search engines.
